What is MSME / Udyam Registration?

Udyam Registration (formerly MSME / Udyog Aadhaar) is a free government registration for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises under the MSMED Act, 2006. It is the single most valuable free registration for Indian SMBs — unlocking Section 43B(h) protection (buyers must pay MSMEs in 45 days), collateral-free loans up to ₹5 crore under CGTMSE, MSME subsidies, tender preference and reduced trademark fees. RegisterMyCompany files your Udyam application with a CA in 1–2 working days.
